Another big weekend beckons for Heywood.
The firsts entertain Littleborough – Chris Schofield et al. – on Saturday, one of the genuine contenders for the title.
Clinton Perrin, the Harehill side’s pro, is a proven class act and always looks the part on Crimble.
On Sunday, it’s a trip to Ladyhouse for the Lancashire Cup clash with Milnrow. The winners face a trip to Netherfield or Ormskirk in the next round, so the Heywood fans are keen for an away trip.
The seconds face a tough task on the low, slow wicket of Royton, while on Sunday the thirds, under the captaincy of Rob Morley, travel to Bolton.
Members please note as there is no home game on Sunday, the club won’t open until 6pm.
