A mature and match-winning knock from Morgan KayHeywood under-18s pulled off a remarkable run chase to march into the semi-finals of the Taylor Cup. The current cup holders stunned Walsden as they overhauled their total of 148-3 with two balls to spare in a thrilling clash at Scott Street last night. Heywood’s third team made it an almost perfect weekend for the club. They comprehensively outplayed an experienced Unsworth side, who won the Frank Bailey trophy earlier this season. Heywood 3rd XI’s winning start to their Manchester and District League campaign came to an end when they lost a tricky match at Deane and Derby on Sunday.
