HEYWOOD continue their battle against relegation from the Greater Manchester Premier League at home to second-placed Woodbank on Saturday.

But they have to do so without top order batsmen Bobby Cross and Andy Kerr, plus opening bowler Simon Dawson.

The second team, bidding for promotion from Division 4 East, travel to Ashton the same day.

Sunday at Crimble brings one of the social highlights of the summer with the annual challenge match between an Eggers X1 and the Lemons.

HEYWOOD 1st X1 (v Woodbank, home, Saturday, 1pm): T Townsend (capt), D Pawson, R Paterson, J Morley, W Hunt, S Burrill, A Dawson, T McQuinn, M Grogan, R Smethurst, C Hilton.

HEYWOOD 2nd X1 (v Ashton, away, Saturday,1.30pm): S Evans (capt), R Bennett, M Witts, J Kaye, R Purser, C Kaye, T Sullivan, J Carter, W Taylor, J Mills, J Keyworth.

ANNUAL CHALLENGE MATCH (Crimble, Sunday, noon): Eggers X1 v Lemons.
