ONE of the social highlights of the cricket season takes place at Crimble this coming Sunday, (August 12, noon).
A charity match between Hardman’s Lemons and an Eggers Patio Select is in memory of two late members of Heywood Cricket Club – Tom Hardman and Trevor ‘Egger’ Jones.
The game always attracts plenty of support from family and friends, and will raise funds for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
In the five years of the annual event to date the Lemons have built up a 3-2 lead, so there will be plenty of friendly rivalry between the sides containing many familiar Heywood faces.
