James Mills in action todayJames Mills underlined his potential with a fine spell of bowling as Heywood Thirds hammered Walsden at Crimble. Mills, 15, bowled his left-armers to devastating effect to reduce Walsden to 30-5, taking all five wickets to fall before he had to be removed from the attack with excellent figures of 5-19 off six. Heywood CC’s third team put on a fine all-round team performance to beat Bolton and continue their hold on top spot in the Manchester and District League Division Three. They posted an impressive 147-1 off their 20 overs, thanks mainly to excellent knocks from Ben Thulborn (30 ret), Morgan Kay (32 ret) and captain James Mills (30).
