Heywood CC’s annual presentation night will be held at the club on Saturday 5 October, from 7pm.

The evening will work up from the under-9s to the first team, finishing with the club’s special prizes.

It will be chance to celebrate a fine season across all age groups, with the first and second teams there to celebrate Wood and Burton Cup success.

Due to the success of last week’s cricket camp it has been decided that another one will be staged at Crimble. The dates will be Tuesday 27th to Friday 30th August from 10am to 3.30pm everyday. Heywood under-18s take on Werneth in the semi-final of the Taylor Cup tonight at Crimble. Humza Naeem’s side earned their place in the final after the marvellous victory at Walsden on Friday, when they successfully chased down the home side’s target of 148. A mature and match-winning knock from Morgan Kay

Heywood under-18s pulled off a remarkable run chase to march into the semi-finals of the Taylor Cup. The current cup holders stunned Walsden as they overhauled their total of 148-3 with two balls to spare in a thrilling clash at Scott Street last night. Goerge Wall was a hero with the bat for the under-15s

Danny James and George Wall were the heroes in a nerve-jangling victory for Heywood under-15s on Friday. Clifton were the visitors to Heywood, and they were restricted to just 91 off their 20 overs, with Heywood generally fielding and bowling well. Report – Kate Cross: After our first competitive win last week, Heywood took to the field in their second league match versus Unsworth and due to some of the opposition running late we decided to field first. REPORT – Rob Morley: Heywood’s U11′s played their 6th game of the 2013 season at home against Clifton on Sunday morning, a re-scheduled game from the previous Wednesday night due to both teams being somewhat under par due to school commitments. HEYWOOD have won the Taylor Cup, the Central Lancashire League’s knockout competition for Under-18 age group teams.    They convincingly toppled Rochdale by four wickets at Redbrook in the final, held over from the end of last season because of wet weather.
