  1. HELLO, I AM DOING SOME RESEARCH ON MY FATHER AND I THINK THIS WAS HIM.
CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME THE FULL NAME OFF S.J. GOWLAND. ABOVE …WHAT WERE HIS GIVEN NAMES.
    tHANK YOU……….RICK GOWLAND
    [email protected]

  2. Rick, he was playing for Littleborough in that game and our contact at L’boro thinks he was either Sydney or Sidney, but he is going to try and check it out further for you

  3. Just noticed that the last hat trick against Heywood was in 2002 at the Pollards bowled by M Smith.
At the end of his career this bowler can look back and say this was the pinnacle as the three victims were yours truly, Russell Osbourne and David Cross, surely no finer a hat trick has been performed in the history of the CLL!

  4. Was this the same game where Jason Maher the Oldham wicketkeeper informed the first victim in the above hat trick that he was a ‘Tw#T and that everyone in the League thought he was too ?

  5. The actual remark was you are a tw*t, always have been, always will be as he headed off in the general direction of the pavillion.

  6. I believe he takes over from Stephen Fry as the host for the next series of QI

  7. I see Colin Mooney was a victim in FOUR HAT TRICKS against Heywood. Surely a treasured record that will never be beaten and included the Hat trick by the legendary Sir Garfield Sobers. I’m jealous – I only managed one !!!!!!! The same as Mr V.W Kaye who had three stumps well and truly castled when bowled by Ezra. They never found the bails
