Danny Pawson is on form with bat and gloves

Bobby Cross showed that form is temporary and class is permanent with a magical knock against Flixton.

Cross hit a superb 92 as Heywood hunted down Flixton’s decent total of 198-8 with ruthless efficiency.

With pro Travis Townsend hitting an excellent 56 and Danny Pawson continuing his magnificent run with an unbeaten 36, Heywood cruised home with time to spare.

With City producing a miracle, the under-13s winning their first game and excellent support from the visitors it was another fine day at Crimble despite the cold weather.

Full report and pictures to come.
