HEYWOOD venture into new territory when they start their Derek Kay 1st X1 Cup campaign in the coming Greater Manchester Cricket League season.
They travel to take on Whalley Range, from Division 1B, in the first round on Sunday, May 4.
The 2nd X1 Premier Cup gets under way on Sunday, June 2, when Heywood have a home clash against their Dukinfield CC counterparts.
Heywood’s Division 1A league season starts on Saturday, April 20, with a trip to Denton West. Both clubs were relegated from the Premier League last year.
The 2nd X1 get their Division 3 East season going the same day at home to Oldham CC.
