Whilst the end of another season may be upon us the hard work at Heywood never stops and there is a significant programme of improvement planned for the ground and facilities this winter.

Given the size of Crimble and the age of the pavilion most of the work is maintenance and renovation and, as always, the club needs the support of players, members, supporters and friends to ensure that we can complete the programme.

Tasks to be completed include:

- Refurbishment of the gents toilets

- Repairs to terracing on far side of ground

- Maintenance of bottom field

- General maintenance of nets

- Repairs to portacabin

The refurbishment of the gents toilets is at the top of the list and will require tiles, a new vanity unit, new toilet cubicle, mirror and door.

Any members that are able to give the club time, expertise, materials or just make a good brew for those that are working please get in touch with Bobby or Roger to express your support.

It is anticipated that there will be the regular Sunday morning work parties commencing at the end of October to make a start on some of the outdoor work and, as always, the more volunteers the better.

We thank everyone for their ongoing support as we seek to continue to improve our facilities.
