HEYWOOD’S Jack Morley and fellow Lancastrian Sam Dorsey shone for England’s Under-16 side despite a second successive defeat at Colombo on their tour of Sri Lanka.
The tourists made 195 thanks to 64 by Ben Charlesworth (Gloucestershire) and 45 by Dorsey, who plays for Clifton in the Greater Manchester Premier League.
Morley batted at No 11 and failed to trouble the scorers.
The Sri Lankan boys then had little difficulty in knocking off the runs for the loss of just five wickets, despite a fine bowling return by Morley. The Crimble protégé claimed 2-30 in his 10 overs, with three maidens.
The next match is today (March 30), a 50-over clash at the Surrey Ground in Galle.
