HEYWOOD teams hope to get back to full action this coming weekend (August 17 and 18) following recent weather problems.

Saturday sees the senior team travel to Summerseat near Bury to take on Brooksbottom (12 30pm) after suffering washouts in their last two proposed home games against Swinton Moorside and Austerlands – with a victory at Unsworth in between.

The second team is at home to Denton (1pm) the same day looking to get in a completed match after their aborted trip to Springhead last Saturday. Heywood made 69-3 in 10 overs before rain had the final say, Mikey Grogan making 28 and his brother Lee an unbeaten 17.

The third team, meanwhile, have a re-arranged Sunday clash with neighbours Bamford Fieldhouse (1 30pm) at Crimble, hoping to build on their victory at East Lancs Paper Mill.

Supporters should note that earlier start times apply in the run-in to the end of the season
