FROM JOHN HEYWOOD (under-13s coach): I am now on Holiday until Thursday 19 April so I need to pick the team for Sunday 22nd today ( Home v Ramsbottom 09.10am meet).
There is still training on Tuesday April 10 and 17 and Bobby will ensure there is a coach to take the session.
It is my intention to give everybody a fair chance at claiming a place on the team and every squad member will play several games. I can only select 11 per match but I ask all the squad to be patient and grab their chance when it arrives.
Any player selected as 12th man for a game will be selected to play in the next game if they turn up on time with full playing kit ready to play if required.
Please remember: water for rehydration and turn up on time. Let me know in plenty of time if you cannot play if selected.
Below will also be the batting order. This will change from week to week to give everybody a chance.
- Danny James (c)
- Billy James Radcliffe
- Jordan Parr
- Keelan Nugent
- Danny Josebury
- Darius Campbell (vc)
- Connor Clayton
- Jacob Ellis (wk)
- Ben Brown
- Sam Sweeney
- Steven Diggle
- Ben Buckley Fisher 12th Man
There is a chance that we could be without Danny James and Sam Sweeney as there is a potential clash with football. Therefore if Bradley, Alex, Ben Crompton and Ethan could pencil this date in as well that would be great.
I must stress I can only select 11 and you will all get a fair chance and plenty of games.

Team Manager on holiday before a competitive game is played …………..
Hope this is a scouting holiday with visits to the various opponents the side will come up against throughout the season in order to prepare the side ready for each game !!
The red tops will have a field day if a faultering start to the season is linked to a week long joint to Egypt or the like by the new gaffer, no doubt with snaps of him sipping cold beers on a sun lounger appearing in the Advertiser under the headline “Fail to prepare, prepare to fail ……… Big Fash swaps Practice for Pimms !!!!
