Heywood will be entering a team in the TH96 CLL Charity Challenge. The event is in memory of Tom Hardman, who tragically died late in 2012. Crimble stages a charity cricket game tomorrow (Saturday 22 June) in memory of one of Heywood’s finest young cricketers. Tom Hardman, a product of Heywood CC’s youth system and one of the most popular players around, died suddenly last year. Tom Hardman’s funeral will take place on Thursday, 13 December. There will be a huge turnout at St Joseph’s Church, on Mary Street, from 10.15am. Tom’s family will then go on to a private service at Rochdale Crematorium, before we can all remember Tom at the Civic Hall.
TOM Hardman, one of the most talented players to come through the junior system at Heywood CC, has tragically died at the age of 21. He would have been 22 on Monday, December 3.
