Club members, players, family and friends, please get down on Sunday from 10am, even if you can just spare an hour it will make a huge difference as we seek to get the club in the best shape ever ready for our anniversary season!

The annual NatWest CricketForce day will be held this Sunday 5th April at the club, 10am onwards.

Most members will by now be aware of the event which is aimed at preparing the ground for the upcoming season and this year, as usual, there is plenty to get done!

The jobs listed below usually fall onto the usual few volunteers and we hope that in this, our 150th year, we have a great turnout to get the ground into fantastic shape.

Whilst we hope to get through most of these tasks on the day itself we would, as always, be delighted to hear from members and supporters that can donate any time, materials or expertise at any point to help us to achieve the improvements.

It would be really helpful to know who will be coming down and the club will provide plenty of equipment, paint, tools etc but please feel free to bring more!

By working together we can ensure the club looks as good as ever for the anniversary year and for all those returning to Crimble in 2015.

Jobs to be done include:

Tidy nets (remove moss).
Repairs to scorebox.
Repair seats around ground.
Paint portacabin roof.
Remove scrap
Tidy cellar
Re build gate pillars
New cement around concrete benches.
Ramp for covers
Extend disabled ramp to patio
Tidy garden areas.
Fit extension to covers(run ups)
Fill gaps on pavilion steps
New guttering at rear of club
Repoint crazy paving as required
Repair terracing BMX side
Lower pockets on practice wickets
Lower net poles for nets on square
Re-cover and prepare roll on covers
Put benches out
Paint sight screens

One Response to “NatWest CricketForce This Sunday!”

  1. Thank you so much all those who turned out today and gave our ground a spring spruce up. Sorry I couldn’t be with you (you know why) but I was there in spirit well bitter anyway. Thanks everyone again – John
