  1. Scoop

If memory serve, his batting partner Johannes Bothma was a deputy we once engaged as sub pro but wasn’t required as it rained !! He was though, how do i put this ……………. thick as two short planks !!!!

  2. Presumably Johann was “seeing it like a beachball and hitting it like a rocket” as he did at Woodhouse Lane in 2001

  3. I see Johann hit 3 sixes at Newlands -
Unlike at Norden where he hit at least double figures
Mind you I bet Newlands can’t boast a back yard at short mid on…………..

  4. Woodhouse Lane does have a similar backdrop to Newlands ….Knowle Moor v Table Mountain – easier to take your own booze in at Newlands tho’!
