Lemons v Patio XIs, Sunday, 1pm

AN annual charity cricket game which has become one of the social highlights of the season at Heywood Cricket Club takes place this coming Sunday, August 14 (1pm).

The meeting of Tom Hardman’s Lemons and Eggers’ Patio X1 features many faces more recognisable off the field than on it!

But it is still traditionally an enjoyable family day out and commemorates Tom Hardman and Trevor ‘Egger’ Jones.

It’s free entry for the occasion organised by Heywood CC Patio Supporters. The bar will be open featuring a promotion of four cans of selected ales for £5; hot food will be available; and there will be a raffle with prizes.

Proceeds will go to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
