Crimble will stage two more prestigious games over the next few weeks.

Firstly, the Lancashire Women’s team will face Somerset in a County Championship clash at Crimble on May Bank Holiday, Monday 27 May.

Heywood’s own Kate Cross has been a key member of the county side over the years and will relish playing on her home ground.

Then, on Friday 21 June, Heywood will play host to the Kenyan national team at Crimble.

The Africans are over participating in an ICC competition, and cricket chairman David Fare jumped at the chance for them to play at Crimble.
