HEYWOOD have been forced to delay announcing their teams for the weekend owing to player unavailability and doubts over the second team’s proposed top-of-the-table clash.
The 2nd X1 are due to travel to take on Hollinwood, who have been unable to play at their home ground and have been staging fixtures at Friarmere.
However, that arrangement is not open to them on Saturday for a key game in Division 4 East of the Greater Manchester League, in which Heywood top the table by two points – from Hollinwood.
The 1st X1 also have problems for their third Group game in the Marston’s T20 Cup, at Littleborough Lakeside on Friday (6pm), and at home to Greenmount the following day (1pm).
Professional Travis Townsend has sustained an injury not connected with playing for the Club and is awaiting an X-Ray, Andy Kerr is on honeymoon and Andy Dawson starts a fortnight’s holiday at the weekend.
