Crossy shows his religious side

Brilliant final day ahead of NatWest Cricketforce Day 2012 at Crimble and a final call to arms ahead of tomorrow (start 10am).

Lots of graft being done and the delivery of the seats for the patio – which look absolutely superb.

The ground was also being scarified, and it now looks good enough to play any match on, especially as the pitch being prepared for next week’s opening friendly with Bury is already looking hard.

Flowerbeds are being made and readied, the walls prepared for painting, rubbish being moves, benches brought out for staining and replacing, crazy-paving being re-laid (Grogy) and all the advertising boards are either up or ready to go up.

The ladies toilets are almost finished too and, although it’s the last time I’ll ever see them, they look fit enough even for Kate Middleton to powder her nose in.

Many thanks again to all those who have helped, either with time or through donation of materials.

The show gets under way at 10am tomorrow, but many members and other key people will be down earlier to get things going.

There’ll be free food and a barbecue throughout the day for those involved, and cricket coaching for the youngsters once they’ve had their fill of painting the walls. Beer will flow later on.

It promises to be a great day and I’m sure you’ll agree when you see the ground that the work already done has been phenomenal.
