HEYWOOD Cricket Club has been chosen as the venue for the county’s biggest club cricket final of the season.
The Lancashire KO Cup final, administered by the Lancashire Cricket Foundation, will be at Crimble on September 8, the day after the Heywood’s last scheduled first team game of the season.
There is a reserve date of September 15 should the original one become a victim of weather.
Heywood chairman John Rhodes said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to stage this prestigious Cup final, and it underlines Heywood’s standing in the Lancashire set-up.
“It should make a fitting end to the season for senior cricket at Crimble – although that is some way off yet!”
