James Mills bowled an excellent spell

Heywood under-15s showed the abundant potential they possess with a clinical defeat of Walsden on Friday night.

They hammered the visitors from the east to Crimble and did a fine job on them with the ball, holding them to 81-6 off their 20 overs.
James Mills was the pick of the bowlers with 3-5 from four, while Stef Joesbury showed she is coming along nicely with 2-22 off five overs.

It was a cruise for Heywood as they chased down the total with almost four overs to spare.

Ben Thulborn and Morgan Kay continued their excellent form with the bat as they both retired with 31 and 31 respectively.

Then Danny James showed he’s one for the future with an unbeaten 12 to lead his side home, ably abetted by the ever-improving keeper batsman George Wall.
