It’s easy to see why people want to spend their time down at Crimble.
While strolling through Heywood and Bamford I stopped back at HCC to see what was going on. Lo and behold, two of the club’s greatest volunteers, Keith Caveney and Keith Warren, were hard at it.
When I got down there, Keith C was adding a blade to a mower while Keith W was preparing to graft in the patio trench.
The ground has been vertidrained and was looking a fantastic spectacle in the sun.
I know neither Keith asks for praise, but it was great to see them putting in all those hours which make it the ground we are so proud of.
It also means that ahead of Cricketforce Day, Crimble will be a real picture.
